POTD

Just thought I'd give you an update, I'm going to be buying some new nail polishes this Saturday (hopefully) so I'll be doing a couple more reviews on them over the next week since that has been my most popular post. :) For now here is my POTD, taken on my Nikon coolpix S9100 if you were wondering :) cheerio! x

I've been thinking I need a little saying, cause I absolutely love Louise's little sayings in her videos (SprinkleofGlitter). How about 'ciao my little cheerios'? I know it's cheesey but my life is cheesey :P

Pretty Polly!

Took these photos on a trip to a bird garden recently and thought they deserved a place on here. What do you guys think?

What a pair of lovebirds!;)

Going to be putting more photos on soon, ciao!x

REVIEW: Miss Sporty Lasting Colour nail polish shade '23' (hot pink)

I think Miss Sporty nail polishes are some of the most under rated of all out there. Miss Sporty is a cheap high street brand and I can't say their makeup is much good, but their nail varnishes are amazing!
This colour is a hot pink with a fuschia sheen. I bought mine from Superdrug for £1.99 although I think they always have this brand on 3 for 2 which is great if you can't pick between colours!
The reason I love these nail polishes so much is that you actually get the same effect you see in the bottle. I hate it when a polish looks gorgeous on the shelf then you get it home and try it on and can't see any of the beautiful undertones.

I achieved this level of colour on my nails with 2 thin coats, and it looks pretty much how it does in the bottle!:D Will definitely be getting more nail polishes from Miss Sporty. :) 9/10

REVIEW: Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I decided to buy this as my first 'concealer kit' because it wasn't TOO expensive and had the 3 different products in. I bought mine full price from boots for £10, in the shade 'Light' http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-8482-Kick-Ass-Concealer-8482-Three-Piece-Camouflage-Kit-2-x-2-6g_1243294/
First of all I'd just like to say I absolutely love the packaging! It comes in a cute box and the compact itself is reasonable sized with a mirror above the second section.

There are 3 different steps to this concealer.
Step 1 - under eye brightening
This is a pinkish toned thick cream designed to cancel out blue under the eyes. It works great especially when dabbed on carefully with fingers to build up layers. I have very bad under eye bags and it covered them completely.
Step 2 - superwear face concealer
This is a much more yellow toned yet equally thick concealer. It has very good coverage but I would also recommend applying it with your fingers and gently dabbing. The only thing I will say about this is it wasn't that great at concealing in dry areas but works great around my nose which is more oily.
top: under eye brightening
bottom: super wear face

Step 3 - concealer sealing powder
This is a simple translucent setting powder which came with a small sponge to apply it with. I do use the sponge and the setting powder works perfectly, my makeup doesn't budge all day!

All in all I was very impressed with this product and will probably repurchase it when I run out. :) 8.5/10

Sunday 11 November 2012

Hey guys! This is my first post on this blog, I haven't even followed anyone yet and I'm not entirely sure how the whole thing works. I really just wanted to share my feelings on makeup and hair products that I like, and hear what your favourites are too! Would be welcome to any ideas for good blogs to follow. See you soon, R x
